1984 JEEP CJ7:
Thanks for viewing this absolutely stunning 1984 CJ7 offered by Davis AutoSports!!!! Like with all of our vehicles here, this is a Carfax Certified Guarantee Vehicle. This CJ went under a 2 year restoration 7 years ago with well over $35k spent. The owner has only put 2-3k miles on the build since the restore. It has basically been a garage queen with little use. As the largest Cherokee XJ builder in the world, we know a well built Jeep when we see one, and this CJ fits that description. The previous owner built this CJ with an open check book and after so, took amazing care in owning this fine example. With so many CJs on the market and partial garage make-overs its rare to find such an impressive CJ. Every part of the restore and upgrades will be listed below. The Previous owner took Great Care of this vehicle both Cosmetically and more importantly, Mechanically!! .....This CJ comes with a VA State Inspection to ensure it's Safety and Great Mechanical Condition!! This Jeep drives great down the road with the coil over conversion and long arm / link suspension. The 4.88 gears make is a breeze to accelerate and drive on the roads. Please note, this is CJ7 and drives like a CJ7. This is a true turn key CJ build and is ready to hit the road, trials, beach, or rocks. Please keep in mind, this is 7 year old / 3,000 mile restoration so the Jeep isn't flawless nor new, but is a strong 8.5 out of 10 but cosmetically and mechanically. The CJ previously has an aggressive tire and since it has been road driven over the last few years, the previous owner just installed brand new BFG K02 tires within the last 200 miles. When we got the CJ in inventory, we went through the entire Jeep and got it 100% road ready and added our full Kevlar Package to all bumpers, flares, rockers, and step. We also added 2 brand new red top Optima batteries, went through the electrical system and regrounded and cleaned up all connections. Our service department also changed seals and gaskets.

SUSPENSION & STEERING
Originally introduced in 1996, Black Diamond’s eXtreme Coil Link (XCL) suspension system helped popularize hardcore rockcrawling to 4x4 enthusiasts. Its innovative coil-over engineering even opened the aftermarket industry’s eyes to wheel travel and axle articulation far beyond anything previously available for leaf-sprung YJ Wranglers and CJ-7s/CJ-8s. The Black Diamond XCL kit quickly became the gold standard for aftermarket hardcore rockcrawling kits.
This kit single-handedly stood the suspension industry on its ears. Never before had an aftermarket system started from scratch and replaced all of the factory suspension components. This approach was necessary in order for YJ Wranglers and wide-track CJs to take full advantage of the longer travel offered by a coil-over shock/trailing link design. Suspension performance was literally engineered from the ground up.
The XCL’s cornerstone is its skidpan, which replaces the factory transmission mount and serves as the center anchor point for the front and rear axle links. Up front, the radius-arm-style trailing links mount to the axle with weld-on brackets. A new track bar locates the axle left-to-right. The OE shock mounts are removed and new coil-over shock towers added; lower shock mounts are welded to the axle. Mounting components at their most beneficial locations maximizes suspension movement to take full advantage of the coil-over shocks.
In the rear, the XCL system emulates the TJ Wrangler somewhat. It uses two pairs of trailing links; the uppers are triangulated for strength and mount to an axle truss, beefing up the axle housing in the process. A special crossmember attaches to the factory frame and provides upper mounting locations for the rear coil-over shocks.
Speaking of shocks, Black Diamond uses Fox adjustable dampers that can be tuned by tweaking the nitrogen gas charging. The 3" coils springs are also adjustable using machined aluminum spanners.
PAINT AND BODY
When restored, the body was completely stripped down and all defects, dings, and dents were removed. The body was then primed, based, then cleared. The paint job was done about 5 years ago but only 2-3k miles since repainted. Since the Jeep spent its life indoors, the paint has held up great. We did however perform a full paint correction service on the paint, with wet sanding, compound, buff, and polish to really bring it to life. The hood does have a few small imperfections as mentioned and shown in the video. The defects are tiny and we can repaint the hood for $700. The entire body is flawless and 100% rust free.

The exterior of this Jeep is in AMAZING condition for the year/mileage and has been well cared for. The paint practically looks brand new with the exception of a few areas as pointed out in the video. Please view the entire video to see the amazing condition and ENTIRE condition report. The interior of this Jeep is in Amazing condition for the year and mileage. The floors look great as shown. The sport seats are a perfect fit and are very comfortable. All dash areas and door panels are very clean. All components work absolutely perfect and the AC is ICE ICE cold. The photos below will show EVERY part of the interior so you can see for yourself how clean it is.
This Jeep is in great condition in every way, the motor runs great and is very strong and starts up fine with no issues. All driving components work just as they should, the clutch is nice and tight and shifts very smooth. The complete drive-train has no issues. As great condition as this truck is, IT IS a pre owned car therefore you will find some minor wear from it being driven, both interior and exterior. I would also like to add the AC is ICE cold !!!
