WEEKS 1 - 6

Our repaints here at DAS are not your typical high volume body shop paint jobs, as you see in the photos below, we talk the body all the way down to bare metal and start from scratch. This is a very time consuming approach but is the only way have gorgeous paint for years and years. As shown below once the metal is exposed, we removed all the dents, dings, and damage. From there we apply 2k primer for a first coat which is blocked and sanded down as a preliminary primer coat. From there we apply a 2nd coat which is then followed by another full sanding and blocking for a perfectly smooth panel with no waves. A final Primer with a guide spray is applied which is then sanded flat leaving that panel ready for its color. What you see in the photos below is just the body work, once the body work is done, the panels will come off the Jeep to receive a final prep before they are painted and clear coated which they get spray off the jeep for no tape lines and a better than factory finish.

WEEKS 7 - 10

Once 95% of the the prep work is completed, the last 5% takes nearly as much time as the first 95% which is why most shops skip over this. Fine sanding and meticulous final prep before the jeep gets its color.

WEEKS 11 - 12

As you see, all panels are painted off the Jeep for a better than factory finish. We use best primers, sealers, base and clear on the market for years and years of perfection. The back side of the Jeeps panels get just as much base and clear coat ( 2 coats and base and 2-3 coats of clear) as the front with ZERO tape lines. The factory will blend the back side and not have this quality of finish.

WEEKS 13

The body panels will not be installed and will remain on stands while the Jeep enters our technician department for its FULL mechanical build. The build sheet on this jeep is very impressive.

AFTER MECHANICAL BUILD

After the Jeeps mechanical build is competed we will proceed with exterior upgrades such as upgraded bumpers, winch, lights, and all exterior accessories and then move on to the interior for a full interior upgrade.
