DAS Undercarriage Treatment

Here at DAS, we specialize in all Toyota trucks and SUVS from 1990-2006 and have sold, built and restore well over 300 of these since 2010. In saying that we know these trucks inside and out, the strong points and the weak. We not only strive to provide a great looking truck that has been fully serviced with tasteful upgrades but one with no weak points. When we do our lifts here we always remove the bed to fully inspect the frames, cross members, etc. To truly bullet proof these trucks we strengthen the weak areas of the frame for years and years of worry free ownership. One of the weak points on these due to VERY thin metal is the area around the lead spring brackets and supports. We fabricate plates to weld thick steel in place of the thin factory metal and replace the leaf spring brackets with brand new ones and all new hardware. You can see our work in the photos below. One of the benefits of taking the bed off is full access to tother parts like brake lines, hoses, fitting etc that we can replace or service very easily. In this Tundras case, we replaced the brake hoses, lines and U bolt Plates as well. We fell by going that extra mile on this truck will truly make it last forever !!!! Once all this work is done we media blast everything down for a smooth fishing and coat with POR-15 for a lifetime of rust free metal !!!!! This process literally takes weeks, and is the only way to do this right !!!!!
